Additionally, there's an official synopsis for the expansion pack, stating, "A new chapter is unveiled. Discover the secrets of the Shadow Realm, an enigmatic territory that comes to light on June 21, 2024."

This trailer captivates viewers with the portrayal of the expansion's chief villain, Messmer the Impaler, and his devastating conquest over the Shadow Realm. It also teases the audience with daunting new adversaries, a sequence showcasing various NPCs adorned in distinct armor, and brief insights that seem to include Marika and Miquella during pivotal moments. Moreover, the Elden Ring website has been updated with a more detailed exploration of Shadow of the Erdtree, describing, "The Shadow Realm, concealed by the Erdtree.
