Nintendo Switch Online is enhancing its offerings today with the addition of four new games, including a once-elusive Zelda title. It's an exciting day for subscribers of Nintendo Switch Online, as the June 18 Nintendo Direct has confirmed the inclusion of four highly-anticipated games to the service later today.
Firstly, two Game Boy Advance games are being introduced to the subscription service. The initial title is Metroid Zero Mission, a superb remake of the NES original that expands the world and adds a post-game campaign featuring Samus in her Zero Suit.
More significantly, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past's GBA port is also being included. This version is remarkable for incorporating the original Four Swords game, which was previously accessible only with four copies linked up via a GBA link cable. In today's context, it's nearly unplayable. Fortunately, NSO's online functionality should simplify teaming up with friends to enjoy this multiplayer Zelda experience.
Two Nintendo 64 games are also being added. The first is Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, a notable N64 first-person shooter (FPS) recognized for its open-ended level design and inventive weaponry.
Lastly, the original Perfect Dark is joining Nintendo Switch Online. This Rare-developed classic, similar to Goldeneye 007, will support online play through the subscription service. Ideally, this legendary game will run smoothly, as the original multiplayer experience is quite challenging by modern standards.
To access these new titles, a subscription to the Expansion Pack tier of Nintendo Switch Online is required, which costs more than the basic version. Nevertheless, these strong additions are certainly worth the extra expenditure.
