Overwatch has rolled out a mid-season update for its first 2026 season, bringing several modifications that have been anticipated by the community. Reviewers of the update have noted that while the adjustments are not as expansive as in earlier patches, they serve to fine-tune the current balance in the game.
Recent tweaks mean that popular characters seen in both casual and ranked matches have experienced performance reductions. Players who found that certain heroes were dominating will notice that four specific characters have been scaled back, whereas other less impactful heroes and some of the new additions are now receiving enhancements to improve their viability.
The changes to individual heroes include adjustments for the following characters:
- D.Va
- Hazard
- Rammatra
- Roadhog
- Anran
- Emre
- Vendetta
- Illari
- Jetpack Cat
- Mizuki
In addition to hero adjustments, several modifications have been applied to various hero subclasses. These changes affect the following subroles:
- Medic Subrole
- Bruiser Subrole
- Initiator Subrole
Finally, the Stadium area has undergone an update. General modifications to its mods have been implemented to simplify navigation, along with a substantial number of bug resolutions to ensure smoother gameplay across the board.
